HEALTH POLICY

In my ongoing commitment to the health and safety of my clients and myself, I kindly ask for your cooperation with my appointment health policy If you are experiencing any of the symptoms or conditions listed below, I will need to either change or cancel your scheduled appointment.
 

Conditions Requiring Appointment Rescheduling or Cancellation:
 

  • Colds, sore throats, or flu-like symptoms

  • Cold sores

  • Conjunctivitis

  • Sunburn in the area to be treated
     

Notice Period:
 

Please provide at least 24 hours' notice for any changes or cancellations to your appointment due to these conditions. This allows me to manage my schedule and accommodate other clients efficiently.
 

Stand Down Periods for Specific Treatments:
 

  • After Tooth Extractions and Root Canal Treatments: There is a mandatory 1-week stand down period. This is to ensure that any potential complications or infections are fully addressed before proceeding with your appointment.
     

  • After Recovery from Covid or Influenza and Following Medical Vaccinations: A 2-week stand down period is required. This precautionary measure is to ensure that any side effects or symptoms have fully resolved, safeguarding your health and the well-being of our clients and staff.*
     

PRECARE ADVICE FOR WAXING TREATMENTS

  • It is recommended not to use creams, moisturisers, fake tan or oil on the skin before a waxing treatment as these form a barrier and inhibit the treatment.

  • It is advisable not to use sunbeds or sunbathe 24 hours prior to a treatment or arrive for your appointment with sunburnt skin.

  • Your first treatment may be a little uncomfortable if your appointment coincides with the onset of your menstrual cycle or if you are taking a course of antibiotics or other medication, as your skin will be more sensitive.
     

ATTENTION:
 

The following conditions may not be treated with waxing:

  • Eczema

  • Dermatitis

  • Psoriasis

  • Acne

  • Boils

  • Cold Sores

  • Protruding varicose veins

  • Broken skin, insect bites

  • Diabetes

  • Inflammation, infected areas

  • Sunburnt Skin - overexposure to sunbed or the sun

  • Rashes or lumps in the skin

  • Cuts

  • Fractures or sprains

  • Self-Tan (24 hours before treatment)

  • Recent scar tissue (less than 6 months)

  • Moles

  • Warts - verrucas

  • Bruising
     

PLEASE IF IN DOUBT DISCUSS ANY POSSIBLE CONDITIONS WITH YOUR THERAPIST

 

AFTERCARE: (For at least 24 hours after treatment)
 

  • It is important to keep the treated area cool as the follicles may be open to infection.

  • Do not wear tight clothing as this may cause skin irritation and cause ingrowing hairs.

  • If you suffer from ingrowing hairs, exfoliate regularly starting 3 days after treatment.

  • For the first 24 hours following treatment please do not use perfumed, chemical products, deodorants, talcum powders, self tanning or make-up in treated area.

  • Avoid touching, scratching, swimming, heat, ultraviolet treatment, hot baths and hot showers.

  • If you have sensitive skin use icepacks and antiseptic cream until the skin returns to normal.

  • 48 hours is recommended before a long haul flight.
     

If you experience any problems refer to your therapist immediately and you will be advised as to the appropriate action to be taken.

CANCELLATION POLICY

24 hours is required for cancellation of appointments or a cost of treatments may be charged.

We collect personal information from you, including information about your:

  • name

  • contact information

  • location

  • interactions with us

  • tracking information
     

We collect your personal information in order to:

  • best serve you as a website visitor

  • respond back to any of your messages

 

Providing some information is optional. If you choose not to enter your information, we'll be unable to best serve them and get in touch.

We keep your information safe by storing it in encrypted files and only allowing our management staff to access it.

​

We keep your information for two years at which point we securely destroy it by securely erasing all digital data.

You have the right to ask for a copy of any personal information we hold about you, and to ask for it to be corrected if you think it is wrong. If you’d like to ask for a copy of your information, or to have it corrected, please contact us at
